The history... Specialising in innovative business simulation technology, Venture Simulations Ltd which has offices in Guildford and York, was established by brothers Paul and Peter Harrington. Having created and grown a number of companies and worked with many entrepreneurs, Peter was keen to make learning and teaching more meaningful, authentic and engaging. He also wanted to create a hands-on resource that put the user at the centre of the learning rather than having to sit passively listening to someone talk. For his part, Paul possessed the technical experience and engineering expertise to create a highly sophisticated yet easy to use business simulation resource. Taking 4 years to build and launched in 2006, SimVenture was created so people were inspired to learn about and understand the issues and principles underpining business & entrepreneurship. By 2009, SimVenture had won 3 prestigious UK national awards. |

Paul Harrington is a software engineer with over 25 years’ industry experience. He specialises in simulation technology and has run businesses for over ten years. Paul Brough Jones has over 20 years of experience in the education sector as a senior leader, teacher, trainer and consultant. |
