SimVenture is a versatile resource that can be used to support a range of delivery structures and a wide variety of course content. You can make the software central to your lessons or use it to extend, enhance or enrich the learning for your students.
Since the software covers all major aspects of running a business, it provides plenty of opportunity for integration within your coursework and can be used in a variety of ways to suit the context within which you work.
Case Studies become dynamic and interactive, challenging students not only to suggest solutions but to actually implement and evaluate them. | ![]() |
'Capturing the learning' Designed as an active learning tool, SimVenture can be used to develop reflective learning and self-assessment. The integrated notepad and business planning template allow users to record their planning, analysis, evaluation and reflection within a SimVenture game. Once the student has completed a challenge within the simulation, their notes can then be printed out or exported along with performance data held within the game. This 'journal' then forms the basis of their reflections, allowing them to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding through presentations, written reports or submissions. SimVenture is also an ideal context for students to demonstrate team work negotiation and communication skills. The simulation provides the problems to challenge groups of students allowing them to reflect on their approach to finding solutions.
